Pat Browne was born in
England. Browne's work has won recognition in two continents,
in the form of gold, silver and bronze medals from the Royal
Drawing Society of London, and awards from the Connecticut
Academy of Fine Arts and the Connecticut Women Artists. Her
subject matter is always the familiar scene from a New England
village; a rose-covered trellis, a wisteria-filled entrance way,
an old wooden door or a brick house facade with interesting old
windows. Brown paints these scenes with remarkable skill. She is
an accomplished watercolorist with exceptional control of her
medium. Her paintings are crisp and fresh with attention paid to
light and shadow. |
